FAQ

Is the show actually at Paula Deen's restaurant?

Yes, our dinner theatre productions are located in Paula Deen's The Lady & Sons Restaurant. Your Trolley Conductor will deliver you to the restaurant where you will enjoy VIP preferred seating in Paula's Banquet room.

Can I only see your show by going on a trolley tour?

Yes, our dinner theatre production is offered as a part of trolley tours with Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah. We are a featured segment of the Paula Deen Tour by Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah and can also be made an add-on to the Historical Tour given by Old Town Trolley Tours.

What is the Paula Deen Tour?

A tour all about Savannah’s Queen of Southern Cuisines! Hear the story of her rags to riches rise to stardom. Tour includes a narrated history of Paula Deen through Savannah’s Historic District, pointing out specific points of interest related to Paula and her family and story.

If I prefer a Historical Tour instead, can I still purchase tickets?

Yes, if you prefer to take the Historical Tour by Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah instead of the Paula Deen Tour, you can still make the dinner theatre show an add-on to your trolley tour!

What does the ticket include?

The $67.99 +tax ticket price includes a 2.5 hour Paula Deen trolley tour, Paula’s southern dinner buffet, salad bar, dessert, non-alcoholic refillable beverages, gratuity, and our show.

When does dinner begin?

The evening begins immediately with the dinner buffet and Act 1 begins about 15 minutes into dinner so that you can be entertained as you enjoy your dinner! Guests can easily access the buffet during the show and beverage service continues throughout the evening.  The entire experience is about 1.5 hours in total.

Do you have shows every evening?

We have shows November-February on Fridays and Saturdays only. Shows mid March-October are daily Monday-Saturday. Tours depart at 3:30pm.

What is on the buffet menu?

The buffet is Paula Deen's full southern buffet which includes fried chicken, country fried steak and gravy, whiting fish, rice, creamed potatoes, collard greens, brussels sprouts, yams, black eyed peas, mac and cheese, butter beans, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob, Paula's hoe cakes, and garlic cheese biscuits.

The salad bar is also included in your ticket price.

For dessert, you have your choice of banana puddin', peach cobbler, or gooey butter cake!

What types of beverages are served?

A selection of soft drinks, coffee, and ice tea are included in your ticket price.  A full cash bar is available.

What are your shows like?

"There's A Bomb on Trolley 409!" is considered more of a traditional theatre show without the active audience participation.  You are invited to vote on who you think is the bomber, but we do not place anybody on the spot or try to embarrass anyone.

Is this appropriate for families?

This show is "G" rated and completely appropriate for all audiences. However, we wouldn't consider the content to be "kid focused". We always use the analogy that if your child would enjoy a trolley tour around the city, then they would probably enjoy our show. If, however, your child would probably be itching to get off a trolley after 10 minutes or so, this might not be the show for them.

Are your shows scary?

No, even though there is a bomber in the show, this is an explosive comedy that will blow you away!

Do you have a dress code?

Nope! Come as you are or put on that dress you've been dying to wear! There is no dress code.

How do you do your seating assignments?

We do not have reserved seating. The stage is in the middle of the room and is similar to a theatre-in-the-round with family-style seating on both sides. The stage itself is similar to a trolley bus.  The room is nice and intimate which is perfect for dinner theatre and all seats face the stage. There are only 3 rows of tables so all seats are close. The stage area itself is also slightly raised.
